Your first visit to Dixon Chiropractic Clinic will give you an opportunity to find out if chiropractic care can help you. Dr. Dixon will do a thorough case history and examination to make sure that your condition can be helped through the natural healing of chiropractic adjustments. As a doctor of chiropractic medicine he believes in natural healing. As such he also uses methods of rehabilitation, therapy, nutrition and acupuncture in his clinic.

On your initial visit Dr. Dixon will provide a no-charge consultation. This will allow you to meet the doctor and his staff with no commitments attached. If the doctor feels that you could benefit from chiropractic care he will do a complete health history, examination and x-rays (if needed).

Dr. Dixon will review your findings in great detail and on the following day present to you your schedule of care and what he found. The doctor will begin your adjustments on that day and any therapy treatments that your condition would necessitate.

Subluxation

When one or more vertebrae lose their normal position, they interfere with the nerves they were meant to protect. This interference can cause pressure or irritation on the spinal cord and/or on the nerve roots as they pass out of the spinal column. This misalignment of the vertebrae and pinching of the nerves is called a subluxation and is the most common aspect of what doctors call the vertebral subluxation complex.
